To all our customers, supporters, and the people for whom we help provide care, we want to thank you so much for choosing Nice Guys Delivery. We’ve been Marin County’s premiere cannabis delivery service for more than two years, and it means so much to us how many of you have welcomed us into your homes, your lives, and your routines. We know you have plenty of choices in the cannabis industry, and we can’t thank you enough for choosing Nice Guys.

There is one aspect of our industry that we get a lot of questions about, however, and it makes a lot of sense why people are so curious. Namely, taxes, both those that the state of California charges, and the ones local to your town or city. Our customers are understandably concerned with cost, and with being able to afford the best quality cannabis products that they both want, and need, in their day to day lives.

This is important to us, because cannabis shouldn’t exclusively be a pricey luxury good that’s outside the reach of the countless working class residents of Marin. On the contrary, for many of our customers, the relief cannabis gives them at the end of a long day is of the utmost importance, so we wanted to explain precisely what changes will be taking place at the start of the new year.

Beginning in 2020, the state of California will be increasing its excise tax rate on cannabis wholesalers by approximately four percent. This is a decision that’s going to have an unavoidable trickle-down effect for the state’s cannabis industry, Nice Guys included.

One aspect of being both a conscientious company, and a solid member of the community is fulfilling our obligations as far as taxes and regulations are concerned. Taxes like these, even though they make things a bit tougher for cannabis businesses, do help fund our communities and our state, and as such they provide a public good to everyone who lives here, cannabis consumers included.

It does mean that you may notice a small uptick in how much it costs when you place an order, however.

Basically, there will be a small but noticeable increase in the prices of your orders, and we apologize for that, even at the same time as we acknowledge the importance of complying with all our local and state responsibilities. However, as we’ve done for a year through our loyalty points program, our frequent promotional discounts and sales on in-demand products, and our everyday discounts for seniors and veterans, we will be continuing to strive to provide you the best, most stress-free, and most affordable cannabis options in all of Marin.

If you’d like to see what we have to offer, whether you’re a returning customer or you’re new to us, please take a look at our extensive cannabis menu, with flowers and concentrates and edibles galore. And if you are new, and you want to make sure you get the best deal possible, now is a great time to take advantage of our whopping 25 percent new member discount!

Again, thank you all so much for your patronage throughout the last few years. We could not have done it without you, and we’re unbelievably excited to continue growing and building new relationships in the months and years to come.

We recommend stocking up on products before the prices go up in 2020. The tax increase will be a rolling change based off of our current inventory. That said, the products that we run out of first will be subject to the updated price rate after we receive new inventory in the new year. We expect all price changes to be made before February, but again, this is based off of our current inventory and we recommend making your purchases before it’s too late.

Happy New Year from Nice Guys Delivery!
